Instructor Tracie Austgen
Wanting to learn more about yoga and to expand her practice, she decided to become a teacher and completed her 200-hour teacher training with Allison and Cheryl at Yoga on 45th. Practicing yoga brings her greater physical well-being and a sense of joy. She feels stronger and more flexible. And for her, stepping on the mat and engaging in a yoga practice is the best way to calm the inner/outer world. Having previously studied Philosophy and Comparative Religion in college, she found that the spiritual and meditative aspects of yoga also resonated with her.
Tracie has her own practice of vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga, and meditation and hopes to bring the happiness and physical well-being that she has found through yoga to each of her students. She has found that yoga is a constant learning process and a great way to continually challenge oneself.
